We’ve also made slide labeling easier, allowing you to add labels directly from the task pane. Plus, teams can now track their estimated time saved while using SlideHub.

These improvements are designed to help you work smarter and faster—so dive in and explore what’s new!

Here’s what’s new:

✅ Presentation Builder Improvements

  • Add Rules in Presentation Builder – Narrow slide options with custom rules.
  • Preview Your Presentation – See your slides before downloading.

✅ Slide Labeling Made Easy – Add labels directly from the task pane.

✅ Track Time Saved – See how much time your team has saved with SlideHub.

Let’s explore these updates in detail:

Improved Presentation Builder – Add Rules & Preview Your Presentation Before Downloading

Managers can now add rules to narrow down slide options for variable slide groups, helping end users quickly select relevant slides. Plus, you can preview your presentation before downloading, ensuring everything is in place.

The Rule-based Presentation Builder helps end users quickly find and select the most relevant slides—provided the admin has set up rules in advance. Rules act as filters within variable slide groups, narrowing down results to ensure users see only the most relevant slides.

For example, if your company offers different services and products, you could create rules to filter slides based on these categories. In this case, let's say I need to introduce the Platform to a client. Instead of sorting through all available slides, I can simply select "Platform" and instantly access the most relevant content.

Additionally, the new Preview feature allows you to review your presentation before inserting slides, ensuring everything looks right and that the correct slides have been selected.

How to Add Rules to Variable Slide Groups

Managers can add rules to variable slide groups by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Presentation Builder and locate the variable slide group you want to modify.
  2. Determine the rule that will help end users filter slides effectively.
  3. If your slides already have the correct labels, go to the Rules tab and click Create Rule.
  4. If your slides don’t have the correct labels, first update them:
    • Go to Manage Slides view and filter by the label used when setting up the variable group to view all slides in the group.
    • Select all the slides (or the ones you want to update) and assign the appropriate tags (e.g., "Advisory," "Biotech," "Law," "Investment").
  5. Once labeling is complete, return to the Presentation Builder, open the Rules tab, and click Create Rule.
  6. Customize your rule:
    • Name it (e.g., "Product Type" or "Industry").
    • Add guide text to help your team understand how to apply the filter.
    • Choose whether the rule should be optional or mandatory.
    • Decide if users can select multiple options or only one.
  7. Finally, select the relevant tags, and all slides in the variable slide group with those labels will appear automatically when users apply the filter.

And that’s it! Your rule is now set up, making it easier for users to filter slides effectively.

Streamline Your Slide Addition and Suggestion Process with Improved Labeling in the Task Pane

Managers and end users can now easily add or suggest slide labels—such as categories, subcategories, and tags—directly from the task pane when adding or suggesting slides to a library.

When using the PowerPoint add-in to add or suggest slides, both managers and end users can assign or suggest slide labels, including categories, subcategories, and tags, right from the task pane. You can also assign a visual sticker label to slides and presentations, making organization even simpler.

End users can apply existing labels, which managers can later adjust as needed. Managers and editors now have the flexibility to create new labels directly in the task pane, giving you more control over content organization.

Once you submit a suggestion, just click ‘View Suggestion’ to see an overview and confirm the selected category.

If you’re responsible for reviewing the suggestion and agree the file belongs in the library but want to fine-tune the labeling, you can easily update it during the approval process. Simply remove or apply the preferred labels, save, and you're done!

This update streamlines the process of organizing slides, making it faster, easier, and more efficient.

Gain Insights with Estimated Time Saved in SlideHub

The Statistics Overview now features an Estimated Time Saved metric, giving you valuable insights into how much time your team has saved over the past six months. This metric is calculated by comparing the time it takes to download assets or perform actions in SlideHub with the time it would typically take to complete those tasks manually.

In addition to the total time saved, you can also view a monthly breakdown graph for a more detailed overview of your team's time savings.

Since these calculations are based on assumptions, you can learn more about how the time savings are estimated in our Help Center.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
