The new Dynamic Content feature is now live.
Imagine you have presentations that will be used multiple times for multiple situations/clients/projects (business proposals, NDAs, reports, etc.).
Some slides can be reused but, they need to be customized to adapt to the given situation (customizing the client’s name, the date, etc.).
This feature will help you make sure that you don’t skip any steps and end up finding yourself in embarrassing situations, such as using the wrong client’s name.
How End-users will benefit:
How Managers will benefit:
When creating a proposal you will have slides to describe your company and also a list of customizations for each client like their name, the name of their company, their industry, and the current date.
Without the dynamic content feature, you would rely on manually finding and replacing all this information, risking not finding all the data that needs to be customized.
Typically, you would start by taking your latest proposal and try to modify it.
With SlideHub, the user will automatically be asked to fill in the required placeholders and all slides will be updated in seconds without the worry of having missed any data.
Imagine that as part of your proposal you’ll have data that describes your company, such as your employee count, and how many clients you currently serve.
Using the dynamic content, you can make sure that default values of these aspects get updated globally, so that managers and users can rely on correct information.
A very crucial and commonly used slide is the contact information slide.
With the dynamic content you can have one template slide automatically change all the contact information, and adjust to a specific person or team currently in charge of the project’s proposal (names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
We see a lot of clients using best practise templates for project templates and they all bring the same challenges as before and then some more: Updating the client’s name, the project code/reference, roadmap deadlines, etc.
The dynamic content allows you to quickly add all data in the right place using the same slides.
If a slide or presentation contains text placeholders, you’ll be asked to fill in a quick form before you can insert the files through the SlideHub platform in PowerPoint.
You’ll see right away how many placeholders your file has and all you have to do is add your content and it will be replaced directly into your slides.
If a placeholder appears multiple times in several different slides, you have the option to fill it in just once and it will be applied to all “twin” placeholders throughout the file. Or you can do it slide by slide, you chose!
Some placeholders will already have some default text added by the managers that you can choose to keep if it fits your needs (e.g., Main Headquarters’ office address).
Check the video below for the full overview:
To prepare your files for the end-users, all you have to do is go to your company slides, choose your file and add specific placeholders.
Your file will be scanned and all the content will be made available for selection.
After selecting which content you want to convert into a text placeholder, you create the name of your placeholder, and add a default value if you choose to.
Once you’ve repeated this process a few times, your placeholder library will have stored assets that will allow you to select any content and link it to a pre-existing library placeholder.
It’s that easy. Your file will now have embedded placeholders and end-users all across your organization will be able to insert slides and replace the content you have selected.
