The best workflow is the one that does not interrupt you. This month SlideHub gets closer to where you already work: accessible from inside Claude and ChatGPT, with AI Text-to-Slide history, richer placeholder options, and API access for Enterprise customers. Here is what changed:
If you use Claude or ChatGPT as part of your daily work, finding a slide has always meant the same thing: stop what you are doing, open SlideHub, search, download, and try to get back into what you were doing. That context switch costs more than the seconds it takes.
SlideHub now connects to Claude and ChatGPT via MCP, which stands for Model Context Protocol. MCP is an open standard that allows AI tools to communicate directly with external platforms. In practice, it means your entire SlideHub library is now inside the AI tool you are already working in.
From Claude or ChatGPT you can search your slide library and find the right slides instantly, download individual slides, combine multiple slides into a single presentation, and generate new on-brand slides using your existing library and brand settings, all without opening a new tab or breaking your flow.
To get started, find SlideHub in the Connectors section in Claude or the tools menu in ChatGPT and connect with your SlideHub credentials. SlideHub has been submitted to both connector stores and will be available for quick installation soon.
Every AI text-to-slide session involves real decisions: how to phrase the prompt, which settings to use, what content approach works. Until now, all of that was gone when the session ended. Next time you needed something similar, you started over.
AI text-to-slide now has a full history view. When enabled by a manager, sessions are saved including the prompt you used, the slides that were generated, and the existing library slides the AI surfaced as alternatives. You can go back to any session, reuse the prompt in one click, and insert the generated slides straight into your presentation again.
For managers: you decide whether history is stored at all and for how long. You also control whether sessions are visible to all managers across the account or private to each individual user.
AI text-to-slide is available in beta.
SlideHub's placeholder feature lets users fill in slides with their own content while keeping everything on-brand. With the two new placeholder types you have even more flexibility and more control over the output.
Rich Text placeholders let users add formatted content directly into a slide. Bullet points, bold text, multi-line copy, all in the right place and in the right format.
Drop Down placeholders give users a predefined list to choose from instead of a blank text field. The right options are already there, so filling in is faster and entries stay consistent every time. Less guessing, less fixing afterwards.
Both types work in PowerPoint and Word.
Enterprise customers can now integrate other applications directly with SlideHub via API. Search the slide library, retrieve content using AI-powered semantic search, and generate slides, all from outside the platform.
The list of available API endpoints is growing. If you need a specific integration that is not yet available, reach out to your Customer Success Manager and the team can add it quickly. Full documentation is at https://ppt.slidehub.io/api-docs#/api.
Does SlideHub work with Claude?
Yes. SlideHub connects to Claude via MCP. You can search your slide library, download slides, combine them into a presentation, and generate new on-brand slides without leaving Claude.
Does SlideHub work with ChatGPT?
Yes. SlideHub connects to ChatGPT via MCP as well. You can search, generate and download slides directly from ChatGPT.
What is MCP and how does SlideHub use it?
MCP, or Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that allows AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to communicate with external platforms. SlideHub uses MCP to make your slide library and AI slide generation accessible from inside those tools.
What is AI text-to-slide history in SlideHub?
AI text-to-slide history is a saved record of slide generation sessions. When enabled by a manager, sessions are stored including the prompt, the slides generated, and the library slides the AI surfaced. You can go back to any session, reuse the prompt, and insert generated slides into a presentation again. Managers control whether history is enabled and how long it is stored.
What are Rich Text and Drop Down placeholders in SlideHub?
Rich Text placeholders allow users to add formatted content like bullet points, bold text and multi-line copy into a slide. Drop Down placeholders give users a predefined list to choose from instead of a blank text field. Both are available in PowerPoint and Word.
Is the SlideHub API available to all customers?
The API is currently available to Enterprise customers as a beta feature. If you are interested in API access, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
In 45 minutes you will see how to build slides faster with AI, keep your library clean with less manual work, and make sure your team always works with the right content. Plus a first look at what is coming next. You will leave with things you can act on straight away.
When? April 16th at 3:00 PM CEST.
Save your spot and if you cannot join live, register anyway and we will send you the recording.
